Description:
On the 8th of March, 2024 the students of class 2A conducted the assembly on "International Women's Day".
Through their enactment they highlighted the various issues and problems that women had faced in the past and are still facing today like :
1) Women are not allowed to step out and work like all the other men of the family.
2) Even if they go out to work they are paid less as compared to the men workers.
3) In many homes daughters are not allowed to study unlike the sons of the family.
They were also dressed up like some of the brilliant women of the past and present like Kalpana Chawla,Indira Gandhi,Mary Kom,Saina Nehwal, Kiran Bedi and Mother Teresa to pay tribute to their wonderful achievements.
They thanked all the women who play an important role in our family as well as in the society like our mothers, grandmothers, sisters, female teachers, doctors and so on.
The assembly concluded with a dance which portrayed that inspite of all the struggles of life which women face, they still choose to fly.
