A workshop on project-based teaching was conducted in the junior school by Ms. S. Jaiswal and Ms. S. Daulatramani on 11.09.2024. The two teachers shared their learnings on the importance and benefits of the project-based teaching method, emphasizing how it engages students in deeper learning. They highlighted the need for this approach, explaining that it allows students to work on meaningful projects that promote critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. This method helps students connect classroom learning to real-world applications, making education more relevant and impactful. The workshop included various activities to demonstrate the effective use of project-based and thematic teaching in the classroom. These activities provided practical examples for integrating these methods into lesson plans to encourage student participation. The session concluded with an interactive discussion where teachers shared their experiences. The workshop was well-received, and the participants found it highly beneficial for enhancing their teaching practices.
The Junior Section teachers participated in an enlightening discussion through a sharing session conducted
by Mrs P. Neogi.The interaction was based on the workshop conducted by Mrs Angela Ghosh.
On 21.06.2024, the Child Protection Officers Mrs.M.Mahajan and Mrs.S.Anthony conducted a workshop on " Anger Management" for the support staff.
The session began with an enactment where the teachers tried to convey the harmful effects of the emotion.
It was followed by an interactive session where the staff shared on how often they get angry and
how they manage to calm down.
The session concluded by showing them a video on how to control anger and use this emotion in a useful and productive way.
Overall it was an informative session.
On the 22nd of June, 2024 Mrs. S. Banerjee, our Special educator conducted a workshop on inclusive education
for children with special needs.
It was very informative and threw light upon various ways in which we can provide remedy to children in our
classroom facing any form of difficulty. The workshop ended with an interesting quiz. It was indeed a
fruitful session for all the teachers.
A workshop on the topic of Social Emotional Learning (SEL) was conducted by Mrs. S. Das and Mrs. S. J. Gomes
for the teachers of our school on the 5th of July,2024. The session was about being aware of our emotions and
how it helps us to develop our personalities. Through the session teachers were informed about the various
points which could help them build a connection with children in the classroom.
A sharing session on the workshop 'Art Integrated Pedagogy at the Preparatory Stage was conducted for the
Junior Section teachers on 11.07.2024 by Mrs.J.M.Basu and Mrs.G.Anthony. Art plays an important role in
Junior Section as children are keen learners. Art helps children to develop their sensory motor skills
and results in joyful learning at the same time. The difference between art and art based learning was
stressed on. Focus on learning concepts instead of skills was spoken about. Various samples of children's
work was shared amongst teachers and new techniques of art were discussed about. It was a fruitful session
for all teachers.
