Description:
On the 8th of February, 2024, two of our students, Anushka Banerjee and Priyanka Bardhan of Class 9, attended a book reading session by Dr Jael Silliman on Shalome Rides on a Royal Elephant : The Story of the first Jews of Kolkata. The session was hosted by the History Department of Loreto College, in the College auditorium. It was a very interesting and interactive session where we were given insights into the history of the Jewish community in India.
